The graphics aren't that good, but they are tolerable. The characters don't look extremely demented.

Music: 6/10
There ia a pretty good variety of sounds, but just not that many of them.

Gameplay: 8/10
I like that Mario has many different abilities (e.g. Frog). Also, there are many levels of play, and challenges.

Overall: 7.5/10
One of Nintendo's better retro Mario games, this game can be difficult and has a bunch of hidden secrets (e.g. the time flute). I like the costumes that Mario can put on that give him powers. If it weren't for those, the game would be nearly impossible.
