The Adventure begins as Ash Ketchum (from Pallet Town) goes to
Professor Oak's office to get his first Pokémon. That day, Ash
overslept! He wasn't able to get one of the starter Pokémon, but
Professor Oak had one last pokemon left over... a Pikachu that couldn't
control its electricity. Ash liked Pikachu right away, but Pikachu
refused to go inside of a Poké Ball. Very soon after leaving Pallet
Town on his journey to be a "Pokémon master," Ash was attacked by a
gang of angry Spearows. The bird pokemon attacked Pikachu, but Ash was
able to save him by stealing a bike from Misty, a girl fishing at a
lake nearby. Ever since Ash saved Pikachu from the Spearows, the two
became inseparable friends. However, Misty was still determined to
follow Ash until he got her a new bike! Pretty soon, Ash and Misty met
Brock, the gym leader of Pewter City. Brock's dream was to be the
world's best pokemon breeder. He also joined Ash and Misty on their
pokemon journey. And so, Ash, Misty, Brock and their pokemon travel
around the pokémon-world, meeting all kinds of people and pokemon,
stopping Team Rocket (Jessie, James, and Meowth) from stealing and
controlling rare Pokémon, battle against other trainers and gym
leaders. Ash tries to fulfill his dream of becoming a Pokémon master.
He also tries to be one step ahead of his rival, Gary. Eventually Ash,
Misty, and Brock meet up with a Pokémon watcher named Tracey (in
Pokémon Orange Island). From there, Ash is detarmined to get more
badges so he can compete in the Orange League. After that, Tracey
leaves (Pokémon Jhoto Journies begin). Ash gets more badges (and
Pokémon). They make more friends along the way and get into lots of
trouble. Later (in Pokémon Master Quest) Brock goes to work for a lady
(comes back in Pokémon Advanced) and leaves Misty and Brock for a
while. At the end of Pokémon Master Quest, Misty goes back to her
sisters in the Cerulean Gym (and appears once more in Pokémon Advanced
Challenge when Ash and friends go to Mirage Kingdom). At the beginning
of Pokémon Advanced, Ash goes to see Professor Birch in Rustboro City.
He meets up with May and Max (they are brother and sister). May gets
her first Pokémon (a cute Torchic^.^) and tests out the Torchic. After
meeting up with May and Max's parents, Ash has a battle with them and
gets his first badge. Later, Ash, May, and Max are being attacked by a
bunch of Taillow (Ash catches one). Brock comes back to save them and
they all socialize and eat some of Brock's yummy food. Soon, they will
arrive at the Mirage Kingdom (and will meet up with Misty for the last
time). Misty says goodbye to Togepi and goes back to Cerulean City.
From there, Ash got more badges and May began to compete in Pokémon
Contests. Ash will soon become a Pokémon master and May will win at the
Grand Festival (after getting the ribbons so she can qualify).
