Back in feudal Japan, Inuyasha is destined to become a full demon, so
he attempts to steel the sacred jewel (jewel of four souls).
Unfortunately, Kikyo catches him and pins him to a tree with an arrow,
which contained a spell that made him unconscious and unable to move.
After Inuyasha was pinned to the tree, Kikyo's wound opened up again
and she died shortly after. Kikyo wished for the sacred jewel to be
burned with her body so it didn't get into the wrong hands. Years
later, a 15-year-old high school student named Kagome is in her
grandfather's shop with her brother Sota packing boxes with key chains
of the sacred jewel. When Kagome went to jump into the well, there was
a spirit that was telling her about the sacred jewel. When Kagome got
out of the well, there was a "boy" with dog ears (half-demon) who was
pinned to a tree. Kagome was curious and tried to touch the dog ears.
Unfortunately, some of the villagers spotted Kagome and tied her up.
The villagers thought she was harmful, even though she wasn't. When
Kagome went back to the well (and the tree), Inuyasha wanted her to
pull the arrow out of him so he can be free. Inuyasha insisted that he
would be good, even though demons are never good guys. When a mistress
centipede (a demon) began attacking Kagome, Inuyasha had been freed
from the spell and tried attacking the centipede. Unfortunately, the
centipede swallowed the sacred jewel whole and transformed into its
strongest form. Inuyasha then used his Iron Reaver Soul Stealer attack
and managed to destroy the centipede in one super long slash and
retrieve the sacred jewel again.
