The Portara earrings were introduced in DBZ. The Kais hold onto these
earrings. When two people use these earrings and wear them on opposite
ears, they fuse forever (except for Vegeto's case). These earrings were
given to Goku so he can fuse with Vegeta in order to defeat Buu.
Unfortunately, these earrings caused some fusion accidents.
