Naruto Uzumaki
Naruto's first name means "ramen noodles" and his last name means
"spiral". Naruto is obcessed with Ramen Noodles and he wears a headband
with a spiral-like emblem, so everything all comes into play.
Naruto dreams of one day becoming Hokage (strongest ninja,
leader/protector) of his village, so
everyone will have to acknowledge him (he wants to be more well-known).
When he was born, he had a demon
fox (kyuubi) sealed into him by the 4th Hokage (he is the 9-tailed fox
demon). His life was sacrificed
so the village could prosper; it was meant to be a gift to Naruto to
make him seem like a hero. Unfortunately with the Kyuubi sealed inside
him, the adults of the village grew to hate him (due to the fact of
them knowing about the “gift”) and have passed this hatred to their
children, even though they didn't even take the time to get to truely
know Naruto. No one but the adults of the era of the kyuubi know about
Naruto’s secret, and it is strictly forbidden to share this
information.
Naruto has never had parents so he has had to learn the normal ways of
life on his own, thus he became a troublemaker and joker at his
academy, failing 3 years in a row (rofl). Naruto has had a crush on
Sakura for as long as he can remember, but she refuses to acknowledge
him. Naruto and Sasuke have been rivals since the academy days.
Naruto thinks he is better than Sasuke and wants to prove he is not a
drop out, but a respectable member of Konoho village. Whenever his
close friends are in danger, he shows his true strength and will
protect them, even if it were to cost him his life.
Sasuke Uchiha
Once part of the most powerful clan in Konoha, he is the sole
remaining survivor. He is survived (has lived longer than) by his older
brother, who wiped out
the clan as a test for himself to overcome his own "limits". Sasuke
lives to kill his brother Itachi and restore his clan. Because he
possesses sharingan eye, he has the ability to see through every jutsu
and copy it. He also has the ability to eventually awake the mangekyou
sharingan
after fulfilling one requirement. He is arrogant and thinks everyone
gets in his way and would be better if they let him do it himself (he
needs to learn the word "teamwork"). Like Naruto, Sasuke has been
without parents since his academy days when his
parents where killed, and he was allowed to survive due to the fact he
wanted to surpass his brother. Sasuke and Naruto have been rivals since
the academy days and are always in competition with each other. He
received the “cursed” seal from Orochimaru during the Chuunin
examination, stage 2. The seal gives the victim a 10% chance of
survival, and if they are to survive, it gives incredible power, but it
eliminates the ability for individual growth within ones own power.
Sasuke is very power-hungry and wants to acquire as much power as
possible at any cost after witnessing his family's death and
being defeated by his brother. Believing the gap between their powers
had closed, he goes to Orochimaru to fulfill this desire, turning his
back on Konoho village.
Sakura Haruno
Her full name means "cherry blossoms in the spring". Her hair is a
spring-pinkish color so it all comes into play. Sakura has had
a crush on Sasuke ever since she saw him. She is the weakest of the
group, but will do anything for him. She grew her hair out because she
thought he would like it, but cuts it to save him and Naruto. She is
the best in the group in using genjutsu (illusionary techniques), but
weaker in the other two fields (ninjutsu, and taijutsu). She has the
greatest control over her chakra (energy). She is disgusted at the
thought of
Naruto liking her and finds any excuse to get away from him until she
finally understands him. Her greatest rival is Ino; they grew up
together and Ino defended her from the other girls from teasing her.
That friendship turned into rivalry when Ino found out Sakura also
liked Sasuke, and they fought over it constantly.
