Sakura Kinomoto
As being the main character, Sakura Kinomoto attends 4th grade at
Tomoeda Elementary in her hometown of Tomoeda. Sakura's family consists
of, Fujitaka Kinomoto, her father, Touya Kinomoto, her older brother,
and her mother, who passed away when she was three. When Sakura is
surprised, she says (or shouts) the word that she made up, "Hoe"
('hoe-eh') and if she is really surprised/scared, she'll make it
longer, and say, "Hoeeeeeeee" ('hoe-eeeeeeh'). Sakura is also very
athletic. Her athletic fortes are running, gymnastics, cheerleading,
and baton twirling. The baton twirling eventually led her to being able
to handle her staff.
Sakura's best friend is Tomoyo Daidouji, the daughter of the owner of a
very big company. Her friends from school are Rika, Chiharu, and Naoko.
She is a friend to both Meiling and Shaoran Li but in the beginning,
they don't return the friendship. But its hard to be an enemy of
Sakura, so they give in in the end. Sakura, in the beginning of the
series, has a huge crush on Yukito, Touya's best friend. She once went
on a date with him at the aquarium. But, in the end of the series
Sakura realizes that the one she really loves is Shaoran. And, they
make a very cute couple!^.^ Sakura didn't know that she had magic,
unlike Shaoran, who had been training in the magic fields for a long
time, so she was surprised and scared when she released the Clow Cards
(oops on her part)
and had to get them back. Sakura has very strong magical powers,
because she successfully retrieved the cards, and changed them into
Sakura cards. Maybe someday she will make her own cards...
Tomoyo Daidouji
Tomoyo Daidouji is Sakura's bffae (best friend forever and ever).
She is obsessed with Sakura and is constantly saying how brave, and
cute she is. Tomoyo also has a video camera on which she films all of
Sakura's bravery when capturing Clow Cards or just doing anything.
She also sews and designs all of Sakura's battle costumes. Sakura's mother
happens to be Sonomi Daidouji's cousin, which makes Sakura and Tomoyo
third cousins. While, being very far relatives, Sakura and Tomoyo are
actually family^.^ Tomoyo also has a wonderful singing voice, which is why she is in the school choir. But, Tomoyo isn't
very athletic like her best friend Sakura is. Ever since
Sakura gave Tomoyo an eraser a long time ago, they've been very close
friends. Although, it seems Tomoyo likes Sakura a little more than a
friend. We also see Tomoyo hang around with Chiharu, Naoko, and Rika,
but not as much. Tomoyo is a good friend to everyone, and, when Shaoran
tells Meiling that he loves someone else, Meiling goes to Tomoyo for
support.
Shaoran Li
Shaoran is kawaii when he blushes^.~ He's really athletic too. He's
trained in martial arts and he does have a sword! He loves swords a
lot! Shaoran also has many friends. He eventually develops a crush on
Sakura. They make the cutest couple^.^ He also gets really jealous and
hates Eriol because Eriol was always nice and polite to Sakura. They
got together in the end. Shaoran is a direct descendant of Clow Reed.
He's been training in martial arts and magic since he was a young kid.
He uses these incantation spell cards. He can control wind, lightning,
water, and fire with them. He also carries a compass around with him.
Touya Kinomoto
Touya Kinomoto is a tall person who is popular with the girls in his
class. He goes to Seijou High School, which is right next to Sakura's
school. He rides his bike there almost everyday. He also has a
countless number of jobs, and is always surprising his sister by
popping up in a new job. Touya is Sakura's brother. His father is
Fujitaka Kinomoto, and his mother was Nadesiko Kinomoto, but she died
when he was younger. Although he teases her, and calls her a 'monster',
Touya really cares about Sakura and is very protective of her. Touya is
another athletic addition to the family. He is on the school soccer
team, and is very popular with the girls. He doesn't usually laugh
much, or smile for that matter. Throughout the series, Touya's best
friend is Yukito Tsukishiro. They bike to school together, and Yukito
is constantly over at Touya's house. Later on in the series, it's
revealed that Touya loves Yukito more than a friend. He even gives up
all his magical powers to help keep Yukito there^.^ Before the
beginning (when he was younger) he used to date Kaho. Touya is the
reason why Sakura is so afraid of ghosts. When she was younger, he
would tell her of the ghosts he saw. That is his magical power. He can
see ghosts, but after he gives his energy to Yukito, he couldn't see
them anymore.
Kero-Chan
Kerberos, a.k.a. Kero-Chan, is the guardian beast of the seal. He was taking a 30-year
nap when Sakura opened the Clow Book. He blames her for the incident
and appoints her the Cardcaptor. Kerberos, or, Kero-chan, as Sakura and
Tomoyo nicknamed him, loves sweets, and, although he doesn't need to
eat, still loves it when Sakura saves some of her dinner or gets food
for him. I guess you could call Clow Reed and Yukito, Kero's family,
but, Sakura is who he lives with now, so she qualifies too. Clow Reed
created the Clow Cards, and was the one who made Kero the guardian. And
Clow also created Yukito, so that sorta makes them family. Kero-chan is
so adorable! Kero-chan is friends with Sakura, naturally, seeing as she
is the Cardcaptor. He is also good friends with Tomoyo, because she is
along on almost all the captures, and provides Sakura (and sometimes
Kero!) costumes. Kero HATES Meiling and Shaoran, however. Kero can fly.
And he can also sense when a Clow Card is around. He flies pretty fast
for something that size and for wings so small. He can make someone
with magical powers, a Cardcaptor, like he did with Sakura. And he can
also be of some help when he actually remembers what the cards are, so
that Shaoran or Sakura can use it's weakness. Kero-chan forgot what
most of the cards do when he was guarding them in the Clow Book.
